The Name

A plant that grows where the ground is hard.

Sagebrush thrives in the high desert, where water is scarce and conditions change fast. It holds on with deep roots and keeps growing when other plants give up. That is the kind of steadiness this work is meant to build.

Sagebrush has been valued across the West for generations, for what it gives in places where little else grows.

The flowing lines across this site are contour lines, like those on a topographic map. A map like that doesn’t tell you which way to go. It shows the lay of the land clearly enough for you to choose your own path. That is how Sagebrush works: a clear view of where you stand, with the decision left to you.

What We Believe

Four principles behind every engagement.

01The question you bring is rarely the real one. People arrive asking about a resume or a role. The real work is usually underneath, and it starts there.
02Conviction outlasts polish. A well-written line you don’t believe falls apart in the first interview. Every word should be one you would defend out loud.
03Find your anchors, then the path. No one has a map for something new. What you are anchored to, like purpose, family and the life you want, becomes your landmarks.
04What AI can’t do is becoming your edge. Judgment, trust and bringing people together are worth more as machines take on the rest. The work makes them visible.

“The words matter. The conviction behind them matters more.”Sagebrush

The Experience

Twenty-five years of helping people through change.

Every engagement is led personally by Sagebrush’s principal, a certified coach who has spent 25 years leading people and organizations through change, from global technology companies to a bank during the 2008 financial crisis. That work included guiding employees through a major workforce transition, an experience that shapes how Sagebrush supports people facing one of their own.

A background in cultural anthropology adds a particular lens: noticing the patterns, gaps and unwritten rules that shape how people and organizations actually work.
